Our walking route doesn’t vary much but everything else sure does.
Watching the last Saturday sun rise, my head filled with Van Morrison singing … Mama said there‘ll be days like this … There‘ll be days like this mama said.
I reminded myself to smile (a new practice), while staring up at the sky, and stayed that way until I realized that I couldn’t find where the dogs pooped in a huge pile of leaves.
Yes, I’m a real dog poop cleaner upper and wish everyone else was too.

Staying true to the bright-side … I smiled when I stepped in the poop that I was searching for … no harm no foul … I wore my Crocs and the outside water is still on.
One thought lead to another … I wondered if I’ll notice the day when my bazillion walking thoughts turn into spoken words … people may already wonder what the on-again-off-again smiling thing is all about.
The only thing I know for sure … if you smile at the sunrise, it smiles back. Sunsets do too.
Days Like This – Van Morrison
When it’s not always raining there’ll be days like this
When there’s no one complaining there’ll be days like this
When everything falls into place like the flick of a switch
Well my mama told me there’ll be days like this
When you don’t need to worry there’ll be days like this
When no one’s in a hurry there’ll be days like this
When you don’t get betrayed by that old Judas kiss
Oh my mama told me there’ll be days like this
When you don’t need an answer there’ll be days like this
When you don’t meet a chancer there’ll be days like this
When all the parts of the puzzle start to look like they f it
Then I must remember there’ll be days like this
When everyone is up front and they’re not playing tricks
When you don’t have no freeloaders out to get their kicks
When it’s nobody’s business the way that you want to live
I just have to remember there’ll be days like this
There’ll be days like this
