A publisher asked me to write a book about my art. They paid me an advance and everything.
Never calling myself an author, artist, or photographer, you can imagine how honored, elated and terrified, I was for being called out on all three.
Unfortunately … after a full year, 11,000 words, 500 photos and 16 forced projects, the book was published and I didn’t get to pick the cover.
I’ll know better next time.
At one point in our lives we’ve all said …

“The road to enlightenment is long and difficult, and you should try not to forget snacks and magazines.” Anne Lamott
