Magnets and Stainless Steel

Erin brought her two boys over to glue stuff and as William (6) put it … “This is the best day of my life” and I got to be a part of it!

We talked about their pending home remodel and when the subject of appliances came up it went like this …

Me: I’m really disappointed that the appliance salesman never warned me that my magnets wouldn’t stick to our new stainless steel fridge and I never asked.

Erin: Why didn’t you ask?

Me: Because, I already knew that I would have to give up my magnet filled fridge door but I convinced myself that if I didn’t give the issue life and our stainless steel fridge wasn’t really stainless and it only looked like stainless … something magical would happen and we’d all live happily ever after.

Erin: So what happened?

Me: They installed the fridge, I tried a magnet and it didn’t stick.

Erin: That doesn’t surprise me. What are you going to do with all those magnets?

Me:  I’m going to take pictures and post a few of my favorites to the blog on Mondays.

Erin: Nice.

William & Henry: Can we have one?

Me: Hey Rob, can you grab a grocery bag? Please and Thank You.
